Liberty Stars Loree Moore and Barbara Farris Ladle New Summer Soup and Season Fun to Kids From PS 161

Yes, Soup for You!

On Wednesday, June 22, following a win the night before over Washington, Loree Moore and Barbara Farris headed to The Original Soup Man, at 37 West 48th Street in Rockefeller Center, to dish out some summer soup and seasonal fun.

And this was no ordinary soup… Al Yeganeh, who inspired the “Soup Episode” on Seinfeld, created a unique new soup he dubbed “New York Liberty Fruit Cup” in honor of one of his favorite teams. The newly dedicated soup, which will be available at all city locations of the Original Soup Man, is a mix of chilled fruit chunks covered in a sweet syrup and cream.

Third graders from PS 161 in Harlem joined Farris and Moore for the soup’s debut and positive reviews for the soup came in from everyone. Moore went on to say, "It's a lot of fun to interact with the kids; it makes us feel like we're doing something good. And now, to have a special soup named after us, it's like the city is acknowledging what we are doing!"
