Lynx Re-Sign Candice Wiggins

The 2011 champion Minnesota Lynx re-signed guard Candice Wiggins on Friday. The four-year veteran averaged 5.9 points in 17.1 minutes per game off the bench and shot a career-best 39.5 percent from three-point range.

Storm Re-Signs Bird, Wright

Sue Bird and Tanisha Wright will return to Seattle on new multi-year contracts, the Storm announced Thursday. Bird and Wright, who have both played in Seattle for the duration of their careers, are the longest tenured starting backcourt in the WNBA.

Alana Beard Signs with Sparks

Four-time WNBA All-Star Alana Beard signed a free-agent contract with the L.A. Sparks on Wednesday. The 5’11” guard/forward, averaged 16.2 points, 4.2 rebounds 2.9 assists and 1.9 steals in six seasons with the Mystics before missing the 2010 and 2011 campaigns with ankle and foot injuries, respectively. >> More: Player Movement Central | Transactions

MVP Catchings Re-Signs with Fever

Christon, Kraayeveld find new teams

On Monday, a pair of centers last seen playing with San Antonio signed with new teams, as Ruth Riley joined the Chicago Sky and Ann Wauters signed with the Seattle Storm.
