The Sacramento Monarchs are in the midst of their longest road winning streak in nearly two years. To keep it going, they'll need to win at Conseco Fieldhouse for the first time in eight years.
The Monarchs look to win their fourth consecutive road game and avoid dropping their sixth straight at Indiana when they face the Fever on Tuesday.
After losing its first three road games of the season, Sacramento (6-6) has won its last three.
Nicole Powell, who is averaging a team-high 13.0 points, has been a big reason for the Monarchs' strong play away from Arco Arena, averaging 20.0 points in the last three road games. This is Sacramento's longest win streak on the road since winning four in a row July 6-22, 2006.
Powell and the rest of the Monarchs have had little luck at Indiana (6-6), however.
Powell had four points on 1-of-14 shooting in last season's 63-55 loss at Conseco Fieldhouse. Sacramento has dropped five straight at Indiana since its first trip there, a 70-58 victory on June 21, 2000.
The Fever have won four of six at home this season.
The Monarchs defeated Chicago 82-70 on Sunday after dropping their previous two games.
Rookie Crystal Kelly led Sacramento with 13 points and grabbed a career-high seven rebounds in 17 minutes off the bench Sunday. Kelly, who was released by Houston and signed by the Monarchs just before the season began, has been a key contributor off the bench, averaging 9.5 points in her last four games.
"It was a whirlwind, one day I'm cut and feeling like I failed and then I get picked up by a veteran team like the Monarchs," she said. "It's nice to know I can come in and contribute. This has been a great fit for me."
Veteran Kara Lawson scored 10 points Sunday, bouncing back from a rough three-game stretch during which she totaled 17 points on 4-of-19 shooting.
The Fever are returning home following a disappointing West Coast trip.
Indiana shot a season-low 27.6 percent in Saturday's 77-63 loss to Los Angeles after turning the ball over 22 times in losing to Seattle 78-70 on Friday.
The Fever got a lift Saturday from Tamika Catchings, who scored 17 points and made three steals in her first start of the season after coming off the bench in her first three games.
Catchings, who missed this season's first eight games due to a torn Achilles' tendon, had no trouble making the transition into the starting lineup.
"I really felt good," Catchings said. "Right now, it's more lateral movement (that is a problem). The tendon gets tight a lot, but I'm getting better and better."
