LOS ANGELES, June 18 (AP) -- Lisa Leslie scored 21 points and DeLisha Milton-Jones had 15 to lead the Los Angeles Sparks to an 80-67 victory over the Chicago Sky on Wednesday night.
Candace Parker added 14 points, Sidney Spencer had 13, and Marie Ferdinand-Harris 11 for the Sparks (8-2), who have won four straight and six of seven.
Kiesha Brown grabbed a career-best nine rebounds for Los Angeles. Leslie, who shot 10-for-15 from the field, also had seven rebounds.
"At times, we showed that we can be one of the elite teams in the league,'' Sparks coach Michael Cooper said. "If we continue to grow and do the things that I know we can do, we'll be pretty good in about 15 games.''
"We're a different team from the time we played in Chicago,'' Leslie said of an 81-77 overtime victory June 3. "Our execution is so much better. I think we're getting more comfortable with each other.''
The Sky lost rookie center Sylvia Fowles, the second overall pick behind Parker in April's WNBA draft, to a sprained left knee during the earlier matchup with Los Angeles. Fowles is expected to miss another two to four weeks.
The Sparks used an 18-6 spree to end the first half with a 38-23 advantage. Leslie scored six points during the run, and the Sky made only one basket in the final 4:49 of the half.
Los Angeles, which led by as many as 23 points, outrebounded Chicago 41-24 and scored 21 points off 13 turnovers.
