Sanford Leads Mystics to OT Win Against Lynx

WASHINGTON, July 10 (AP) -- Nakia Sanford had 25 points and 10 rebounds and the Washington Mystics pulled away in overtime for a 91-83 victory over the Minnesota Lynx on Tuesday night.

Alana Beard, who finished with 13 points, scored four in the extra session as the Mystics (7-12) won their second straight and fifth in seven games.

Svetlana Abrosimova scored 20 points and Seimone Augustus had 16 for the Lynx (5-15), who have dropped five straight.

Sanford had 15 points in the third quarter, when the Mystics built a 69-57 lead. But Minnesota came back with 9-2 run in the fourth, tying the game at 79 on Augustus' running jump shot with 45 seconds left in regulation.
