SEATTLE, Aug. 5 (Ticker) -- Janell Burse kept the Seattle Storm on track for a postseason berth.

Burse collected 23 points and 12 rebounds and Betty Lennox scored 22 points as the Storm posted an 87-81 victory over the Charlotte Sting, who remained winless at KeyArena.

With the win, Seattle (17-14) remained 2 1/2 games ahead of Phoenix (14-16) - which also won Saturday - for the fourth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference. The Storm, who won the title in 2004, conclude the regular season with three road games.

All-Star Sue Bird was limited to four points but drilled a jumper from the top of the key as the shot clock expired, giving Seattle a 70-62 lead with 6:51 remaining.

Burse converted a three-point play and Barbara Turner followed with a jumper from the right corner as Seattle pushed its lead to 81-68 at the 3:20 mark and coasted thereafter.

All-Star Lauren Jackson had 20 points, 11 rebounds and two blocks for Seattle, which shot 48 percent (27-of-56) from the field despite 1-of-8 on 3-pointers.

Janel McCarville scored 17 points off the bench and Tangela Smith added 16 and three steals for the Sting, who shot just 36 percent (25-of-68). Charlotte fell to 0-6 all-time in Seattle.
