SAN ANTONIO, July 18, 2006 (Ticker) -- The San Antonio Silver Stars didn't need to play four quarters to continue their success against the Houston Comets.

Chantelle Anderson scored 17 points and Agnieszka Bibrzycka added 15 as the Silver Stars overcame a dismal second quarter to post a 67-64 victory over the Comets.

The Silver Stars were able to stop a three-game losing streak despite missing all 14 of their shots and scoring just seven points in the second quarter.

Anderson made 4-of-6 shots from the floor and all nine of her free throws to help the Silver Stars beat the Comets for the third time in as many tries this season.

Bibrzycka contributed an all-around solid game. The second-year guard-forward made just 5-of-15 shots but grabbed four rebounds, handed out two assists and collected a pair of steals.

All-Star Sophia Young added 10 points for the Silver Stars, who trailed just 27-26 at the half.

Mistie Williams' layup with 90 seconds left in the third quarter gave the Comets their biggest lead at 50-41. The Silver Stars closed to 51-45 entering the final period.

Kendra Wecker converted a layup with 6:20 to play, tying the game at 53-53. Vickie Johnson's layup with two minutes left snapped a 61-61 tie and gave the Silver Stars the lead for good.

Sheryl Swoopes scored 15 points and Roneeka Hodges came off the bench to add 13 for Houston, which made just 7-of-15 free throws.
