SEATTLE, July 16 (Ticker) -- The Connecticut Sun made their first victory in Seattle a convincing one.

All-Star Game MVP Katie Douglas scored 26 points as the Sun rallied for a 92-83 victory over the Storm.

Asjha Jones and Lindsay Whalen added 15 points apiece for the Sun, who used a big third quarter to rally from a 50-44 halftime deficit.

Douglas scored eight points in a 16-4 run in a six-minute stretch of the third quarter that gave the Sun a 64-56 lead at the 3:34 mark. They stretched the advantage to 72-60 entering the final period.

Margo Dydek contributed 12 points and 14 rebounds for Connecticut, which won for the first time in seven tries in Seattle.

The Storm attempted to storm back in the fourth quarter, using a 12-2 run to close to 82-76 with 3:02 remaining on Betty Lennox's layup. But they were unable to get any closer.

Suffering from a stress fracture in her left shin, Lauren Jackson collected 20 points and 11 rebounds to pace Seattle, which lost both meetings to Connecticut this season.

Sue Bird added 16 points, six steals and six assists for the Storm.

The Sun played without Nykesha Sales, who missed her third straight game with a sore hip and Achilles tendon.
