Holdsclaw collected 19 points, 12 rebounds and two steals and Temeka Johnson added 10 points as the Sparks held on for their third straight win, a 66-64 triumph over the Charlotte Sting.

The Sparks held a seven-point advantage in the fourth quarter before Tangela Smith capped a 9-1 surge with a 3-pointer from the top of the key at the 3:07 mark, giving the Sting a 60-59 lead.
Tamara Moore made a pair of free throws with 2:46 left to give the Sparks the lead for good. Holdsclaw sank a jumper 43 seconds later for a three-point advantage.
Los Angeles was able to hold on by making 3-of-4 free throws in the final minute.
Smith had 17 points and nine rebounds and Tammy Sutton-Brown scored 12 points for Sting, who shot 35 percent (21-of-60) and committed 18 turnovers.
