LOS ANGELES, July 8 (Ticker) -- Chamique Holdsclaw picked up the slack for Lisa Leslie.

Holdsclaw collected 19 points, 12 rebounds and two steals and Temeka Johnson added 10 points as the Sparks held on for their third straight win, a 66-64 triumph over the Charlotte Sting.

A 10-time All-Star, Leslie was ejected at the end of the third quarter for bumping an official. The superstar finished with 11 points and eight rebounds.

The Sparks held a seven-point advantage in the fourth quarter before Tangela Smith capped a 9-1 surge with a 3-pointer from the top of the key at the 3:07 mark, giving the Sting a 60-59 lead.

Tamara Moore made a pair of free throws with 2:46 left to give the Sparks the lead for good. Holdsclaw sank a jumper 43 seconds later for a three-point advantage.

Los Angeles was able to hold on by making 3-of-4 free throws in the final minute.

Smith had 17 points and nine rebounds and Tammy Sutton-Brown scored 12 points for Sting, who shot 35 percent (21-of-60) and committed 18 turnovers.
