Lawson scored eight of her 12 points in a decisive five-minute span as the Sacramento Monarchs completed a successful road trip with a 73-60 victory over the Mystics.

A 3-pointer by Lawson gave Sacramento the lead for good at 51-50 with 22 seconds left in the third period. The defending WNBA champions opened the final quarter with an 11-0 burst featuring five points from Lawson.
The run was capped at 62-50 by Scholanda Dorrell's jumper with 5:56 to play. The Mystics got no closer than eight points thereafter.
Sacramento shot 24 free throws to just 10 for Washington, which was just 3-of-23 from the arc.
Alana Beard scored 15 points and Nikki Teasley added 12 for the Mystics, who fell to 3-12 in the all-time series.
