LOS ANGELES, July 7 (Ticker) -- Before the game, the Los Angeles Sparks dedicated the court at Staples Center to Lisa Leslie. After the game, it was easy to see why.

Leslie collected 22 points, 15 rebounds and eight assists as the Sparks toppled the Indiana Fever, 72-60, pulling away with a strong fourth quarter.

One of the WNBA's charter players, a 10-year veteran and two-time MVP, Leslie has spent her entire career with the Sparks, leading them to titles in 2001 and 2002. The 6-5 center dunked in last year's All-Star Game.

On Friday, Leslie looked just as dominant as she has throughout her career, making 9-of-19 shots and 4-of-4 free throws. She also backstopped a defensive effort that limited the Fever to five points in the second quarter.

The Sparks opened a 32-24 halftime lead but just 47-46 entering the final period. Leslie scored 10 points in the fourth quarter, leading Los Angeles to its 12th win in its last 14 games.

Chamique Holdsclaw scored 18 points for the Sparks, who shot 51 percent (32-of-63).

Anna DeForge scored 26 points, and Tamika Whitmore added 17 for the Fever, who had won seven of their last 10 games. Tamika Catchings scored just seven points on 2-of-14 shooting.
