Buescher had 13 points and a career-high 13 rebounds as the Monarchs opened a four-game road trip with a 65-57 victory over the hapless Charlotte Sting.

But it again was the play of Buescher that led the way. The veteran forward scored a career-high 25 points in her first start in nearly five years in Thursday's home triumph over Minnesota.
On Saturday, Buescher made just 5-of-14 shots. However, she grabbed nine offensive rebounds to help the Monarchs to a 42-28 advantage on the glass.
Trailing by nine points at the start of the fourth quarter, the Sting closed to within three twice in the final 3:28. Griffith's layup with 1:56 left pushed the lead back to five before Charlotte cut it to 60-57 on free throws by Tammy Sutton-Brown with 66 seconds remaining. But Nicole Powell buried a 3-pointer with 48.1 seconds left to all but seal things.
Sacramento won despite shooting 39 percent (23-of-59) and committing 20 turnovers.
Monique Currie scored 17 points to lead the Sting, who shot just 32 percent (18-of-57) and also had 20 turnovers in losing for the ninth time in 10 games.
