SAN ANTONIO, July 1 (Ticker) -- The improved San Antonio Silver Stars have struggled at home this season. A visit from the expansion Chicago Sky helped them straighten things out.

Katie Feenstra had 16 points and 11 rebounds and Shannon Johnson scored 15 points as the Silver Stars easily handled the Sky, 69-57, for their second straight win.

The Silver Stars (8-8) surpassed their win total of last season, when they were just 7-27. They have done so with superb play on the road, improving to 6-3 with Friday's win at New York.

But it has been a different story at the AT&T Center, where San Antonio lost its first four games and was just 1-5 until Chicago arrived, looking for the first winning streak in franchise history.

Johnson made sure that did not happen, scoring 11 points in the first quarter as the Silver Stars opened a 22-14 lead. Feenstra did most of her damage in the final period, scoring 10 points as San Antonio maintained a double-digit margin for most of the quarter.

Agnes Bibrzycka scored 13 points and rookie Sophia Young added eight and 16 rebounds for San Antonio, which shot 42percent (28-of-67) from the field and held a 46-36 advantage on the glass.

Rookie Candice DuPree had 16 points and nine boards for Chicago (2-14), which shot just 33 percent (22-of-67). The Sky were coming off Thursday's win over Charlotte which snapped a 13-game slide.
