NEW YORK, June 30 (Ticker) -- Vickie Johnson made an impressive return to Madison Square Garden.

Johnson scored 19 points and Shannon Johnson and Agnieszka Bibrzycka added 14 apiece as the San Antonio Silver Stars snapped a four-game losing streak with a 91-78 victory over the New York Liberty.

Vickie Johnson spent the first nine years of her career in New York before signing with San Antonio as a free agent during the offseason. On Friday, she made 8-of-13 shots and handed out three assists while recording two steals against her former club.

The Silver Stars held a two-point advantage after one quarter and extended the lead to 39-27 at intermission. The Liberty were outscored, 18-8, in the quarter.

Bibrzycka's driving layup with 6:18 remaining in the third helped San Antonio build a comfortable 49-33 advantage, and it never was challenged thereafter.

Young scored 13 points while Chantelle Anderson and Shanna Zolman each added 10 for the Silver Stars, who shot 57 percent (36-of-63) from the field and scored 48 points in the paint.

Shameka Christon scored a career-high 23 points and All-Star Becky Hammon contributed 22 for New York, which shot 47 percent (29-of-61).
