Leslie scored a career-high 41 points and became the first player in WNBA history to reach 5,000 as the Sparks won their eighth straight game, a 105-80 triumph over the San Antonio Silver Stars.

Leslie, who made 16-of-23 shots and grabbed 13 rebounds, scored 10 consecutive Sparks points midway through the fourth quarter as she recorded the league's fourth highest all-time single-game total.
Los Angeles shot 60 percent (42-of-70) and had a 38-25 rebounding edge in setting a franchise single-game scoring record.
Playing the opener of an eight-game homestand, the Sparks (11-3) improved to 7-0 at home this year with their 10th consecutive victory over San Antonio. They widened their lead atop the Western Conference to 1 1/2 games over the Houston Comets.
Agnieszka Bibrzycka scored a season-high 21 points, and Shanna Zolman added 17 off the bench for the Silver Stars, who fell to 5-3 on the road and lost for the fifth time in seven games overall.
