AUBURN HILLS, Mich., June 25 (Ticker) -- All it took for the Detroit Shock to recover from an awful quarter was a big half from Deanna Nolan.

Nolan scored 20 of her 26 points in the second half as the Shock extended their winning streak to a season-high five games with a 71-61 triumph over the Charlotte Sting.

Swin Cash and Cheryl Ford added 13 points apiece for the Shock, who improved to 6-0 at home and have won 13 in a row at The Palace of Auburn Hills dating to last season.

The Shock were able to continue their winning ways at home despite scoring just five points on 2-of-16 shooting in the second quarter. They also committed six turnovers in the period that ended with the Sting holding a 35-26 lead.

Nolan was able to rally the Shock, scoring 13 points in the third quarter, when Detroit made 10-of-17 shots in the period and pulled even at 51-51 heading into the final 10 minutes.

Nolan again was the driving force in the fourth quarter as she scored seven points in a 10-0 surge to start the period that gave the Shock the lead for good.

Tammy Sutton-Brown scored 15 points and Monique Currie 12 for Charlotte (2-11), which lost its season-high sixth straight game.
