LOS ANGELES, June 21 (Ticker) -- Chamique Holdsclaw scored 20 points off the bench to lead the Los Angeles Sparks to a 75-55 triumph over the Houston Comets.

It was the sixth straight home victory for the Sparks, who were coming off a thrilling 80-69 win here against the defending champion Sacramento Monarchs on Sunday.

Los Angeles left little room for doubt in this one, building a 36-30 halftime cushion before pulling away in the third quarter.

Lisa Leslie scored eight of her 15 points in the third quarter, as the Sparks outscored the Comets, 20-10, in the session.

Mwadi Mabika scored 13 points and Leslie grabbed 10 rebounds for Los Angeles, which travels to Sacramento for a rematch Friday.

Tina Thompson scored 13 points while Michelle Snow added 12 and 10 rebounds for Houston, which has lost four of its last five meetings with Los Angeles.
