Mabika scored 10 of her season-high 27 points in the fourth quarter and tied a league record with seven 3-pointers as the Los Angeles Sparks pulled away late to post their fifth straight win, an 80-69 triumph over the Sacramento Monarchs.

The Monarchs shot 50 percent (15-for-30) from the floor in the first half to take a 38-33 lead and led for much of the third period, but the Sparks pulled away by closing the game with a 22-5 run.
Mabika hit two 3-pointers during the run, Murriel Page added six points and Tamara Moore five.
Despite being limited to 26 minutes, Leslie scored 16 points and grabbed seven rebounds for the Sparks, who need a win Wednesday against Houston to complete a perfect 6-0 homestand.
Kara Lawson sank four 3-pointers - including two straight to give the Monarchs a 64-58 lead with 4 1/2 minutes to play - en route to 14 points. Nicole Powell scored 10 points in the first six minutes of the game but was held to five thereafter.
