Douglas scored eight points in the third quarter, including a three-point play with 5:24 left, and added a layup and a 3-pointer with 1:51 remaining to give Connecticut a 63-49 edge.
Sales hit consecutive baskets for Connecticut midway through the fourth quarter, and added a layup and a pair of free throws with 1:29 to play for an 80-64 bulge. She scored 17 points in the second half.
Asjha Jones scored 10 points for the Sun, who shot nearly 53 percent (30-of-57) and had a 39-24 rebounding edge to raise their record to a league-best 7-1.
Alana Beard hit 12-of-23 shots and scored a career-high 29 points and Chasity Melvin added 10 for Washington, which is winless in three road games.
