SEATTLE, June 7 (Ticker) -- Lauren Jackson reached a milestone before sending the Chicago Sky to a familiar ending.

Jackson scored 19 points and eclipsed the 3,000-point plateau as the Seattle Storm pulled away in the fourth quarter to post an 86-73 victory over the expansion Sky, who have dropped six consecutive contests.

Needing 12 points to become the 11th player in league history to reach 3,000, Jackson accomplished the feat after sinking the second of two foul shots with 7:32 remaining in the second quarter.

Janell Burse added 15 points and Betty Lennox had 13 for the Storm, who had six players in double figures.

Leading 64-61 after three quarters, Seattle put the contest away with a 16-4 burst during the first five minutes of the closing period for an 80-65 cushion. Iziane Castro Marques scored six of her 11 points during the run.

Rookie Candice Dupree and Bernadette Ngoyisa both collected 16 points for Chicago, which tallied just 12 points in the final quarter.
