UNCASVILLE, Conn., June 3 (Ticker) -- The only noticeable change in the home-and-home series between the Connecticut Sun and Charlotte Sting was the location.

Margo Dydek scored 17 points to lead six players in double figures as the Sun blew open the game in the second half for an 89-71 victory over the Sting.

Lindsay Whalen and Katie Douglas added 14 points apiece and Nykesha Sales and Taj McWilliams-Franklin 12 each for Connecticut, which won its sixth consecutive meeting with Charlotte.

On Thursday, the Sun defeated the Sting in Charlotte, 89-65, allowing just 38 percent (28-of-73) shooting and taking control in the second quarter. On Saturday, Connecticut asserted itself at the beginning of the third quarter.

After holding just a 33-31 edge at the break, the Sun opened with a decisive 16-0 run for a 49-31 cushion midway through the period. Whalen and Douglas, who made four steals, scored five points apiece during the surge.

Kelly Mazzante netted 13 points and Helen Darling added 11 for the Sting, who have dropped four of their last five outings.
