HOUSTON (Ticker) -- The defensive-minded Houston Comets continue to limit the opposition.

Tina Thompson scored a season-high 23 points and Sheryl Swoopes added 13 as the Comets shut down the Chicago Sky early and cruised late for a 71-60 victory, their fourth straight win.

Dominique Canty netted 10 points and Michelle Snow had 10 rebounds and three blocks for Houston, which held its fourth consecutive opponent to no more than 35 percent shooting.

Seattle, Sacramento and Indiana all were limited offensively and Chicago was added to the list Friday. The Sky tallied just nine points in the opening period and faced a 38-24 halftime deficit, largely due to 28 percent (9-of-32) shooting.

The Comets led by as many as 21 points in the second half and never were threatened, even though the Sky put together a late surge to crawl within single digits with just over a minute remaining.

Amanda Lassiter scored 14 points and Deanna Jackson added 13 for Chicago (1-4), which shot just 34 percent (23-of-67) en route to its fourth straight loss.
