AUBURN HILLS, Mich., June 1 (Ticker) -- Deanna Nolan's layup with 1.4 seconds left capped a wild finish and gave the Detroit Shock their third straight win, a 64-63 victory over the winless New York Liberty.

Swin Cash had 20 points and 12 rebounds and Cheryl Ford added 12 and 13 for the Shock, who survived four lead changes and a tie in the last 24 seconds and defeated the Liberty for the fourth straight time.

A follow shot by Ford gave Detroit a 59-58 lead with 24 seconds to play. Ruth Riley added two free throws 10 seconds later, but New York forged a 61-61 tie on a 3-pointer by Ashley Battle with 12 seconds to go.

Nolan drew a foul with 5.2 seconds remaining and split the free throws. Two foul shots by Battle gave the Liberty a 63-62 lead with 4.1 seconds left, setting the stage for Nolan, who took a pass from Cash and put in the winning shot.

Katie Smith scored nine points and Nolan added eight and six assists for the Shock, who shot just 36 percent (22-of-61) from the field.

Battle and fellow reserve Sherill Baker scored 18 points apiece and Barbara Farris added 13 for the Liberty (0-4), who shot 38 percent (23-of-60).
