CHARLOTTE, N.C., June 1 (Ticker) -- The Connecticut Sun found the perfect opponent for a bounce-back win.

Margo Dydek had 16 points and 15 rebounds, as the Sun recovered from their first loss of the season with an 89-65 victory over the Charlotte Sting, who have dropped five straight in the series.

Nykesha Sales scored 18 points, and Katie Douglas added 13 for the Sun (3-1), who shot 51 percent (36-of-70) and held a 44-26 advantage on the boards. Connecticut was coming off Saturday's overtime loss at Detroit.

The Sun took control early, trailing for the last time at the 9:17 mark of the first quarter. Two free throws by Lindsay Whalen started a 5-0 run that opened a 7-2 lead, and Connecticut rolled from there.

Dydek's jumper capped a 9-0 burst that widened the advantage to 30-20 early in the second period. The Sting answered with a bucket by Kelly Mazzante, but the Sun had the next two hoops and led by double digits thereafter.

LaToya Bond scored 14 points off the bench and Tammy Sutton-Brown added 13 for the Sting, who shot just 38 percent (28-of-73) and committed 20 turnovers.
