Tamika Catchings had a relatively quiet 11 points and nine rebounds for Indiana (3-0), which had five scorers in double figures. The Fever allowed just 26 points in the second half, including eight in the pivotal third quarter.

The Fever held a 59-42 advantage entering the fourth quarter and opened their largest lead at 71-51 on a bucket by Whitmore with 1:15 to play.
Whitmore, Anna DeForge and Linda Frohlich scored 10 points apiece for the Fever, who shot just 39 percent (26-of-66) but owned a 45-34 margin in rebounds. Ebony Hoffman had nine points and eight boards.
Jia Perkins scored 16 points off the bench and rookie Candice DuPree added 11 for the Sky (1-2), who shot just 33 percent (24-of-73) in their second straight loss.
