Griffith scored 17 points to lead the Sacramento Monarchs to a 61-52 victory over the Minnesota Lynx in the regular-season finale for both teams.

The Monarchs showed why they have the league's best defense when they limited the Lynx to 21 percent (6-of-28) shooting from the floor and took a 26-17 halftime lead.
Minnesota displayed some improvement after the break and tied the score, 42-42, when Stacey Lovelace-Tolbert hit a layup with 7:24 to play. However, Griffith scored eight points in the final four minutes, including a reverse layup with a minute left for a 55-50 edge.
Rebekkah Brunson scored 11 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for her third double-double in her last six contests and fourth of the season for the Monarchs.
Sacramento had a 39-27 rebounding advantage and forced 20 turnovers to record its sixth victory in seven meetings against the Lynx.
Nicole Ohlde scored 18 points for Minnesota (14-20), which ended the year with four straight losses and a 3-8 mark since trading five-time All-Star Katie Smith to Detroit on July 30.
