Streimikyte triggered a decisive first-half surge and fueled a second-half run as the Indiana Fever held off the San Antonio Silver Stars, 57-50, to snap a two-game slide.

A jumper by Streimikyte snapped a 19-19 tie with 4:11 left in the first half and started a 12-5 run that closed the period. She added another hoop before Coretta Brown's 3-pointer at the horn made it 31-24.
The Silver Stars closed to 35-32 on two free throws by Shyra Ely with 15:50 to play. Streimikyte sank a pair of baskets and Tamika Catchings scored to rebuild the lead to 41-34, and it was at least a two-possession game thereafter.
Catchings had 11 points and six assists before fouling out and rookie Tan White scored nine points off the bench for Indiana (16-11), which opened a two-game lead over Washington in the race for second place in the Eastern Conference.
Marie Ferdinand scored 12 points for the Silver Stars (7-22), who were swept in the season series and have lost four in a row overall.
