INDIANAPOLIS, Aug. 4 (Ticker) -- Tamika Catchings did all she could to make sure the Seattle Storm's winning streak would come to an end.

Catchings scored 24 points and the Indiana Fever never trailed in a 78-68 victory over the Storm.

Seattle, which was coming off a 4-0 homestand, had won a franchise record-tying six consecutive games and three in a row against the Fever but never was in this one.

The game was tied, 2-2, before the Fever took command with a 14-0 run, which Kelly Miller capped on a jumper with 14 1/2 minutes left in the half.

Catchings added nine rebounds and six assists for Indiana (15-9), which has won five straight games at Conseco Fieldhouse. She was 9-of-11 from the floor, including 2-for-2 from the arc.

Natalie Williams chipped in 12 points and eight boards for the Fever.

Lauren Jackson scored 14 points and grabbed nine rebounds for the Storm but shot only 5-of-16 from the floor. Suzy Batkovic scored 13 points and Betty Lennox added 12 for Seattle (14-11), which is just 4-8 on the road.
