SEATTLE, July 31 (Ticker) -- The Seattle Storm used a balanced attack and hit some clutch 3-pointers to tie a franchise record.

Lauren Jackson and Betty Lennox led four players in double figures with 17 points each as the Storm matched a franchise record with their sixth straight win, holding on for a 77-72 victory over the Los Angeles Sparks.

A jumper by Chamique Holdsclaw with 3 1/2 minutes remaining gave Los Angeles a 66-64 lead, but Sue Bird responded with her 200th career 3-pointer 30 seconds later. Another jumper by Holdsclaw pulled the Sparks within 71-70 with 47 seconds to go before Lennox hit a 3-pointer with 27 seconds left.

Jackson, the reigning MVP, shot just 3-of-11 from the floor but hit 11 of-14 from the line and added 10 rebounds for Seattle (14-10), which outrebounded Los Angles, 37-20. Janell Burse scored 13 points and Bird chipped in 12 and seven assists.

Lisa Leslie was dominant for Los Angeles (11-12), scoring 18 points on 8-of-8 shooting. However, she was limited to 26 minutes because of foul trouble.

Holdsclaw added 17 points for the Sparks, who have lost five of six.
