PHOENIX, July 26 (Ticker) -- Kamila Vodichkova enjoyed a memorable night for the red-hot Phoenix Mercury.

Vodichkova scored a career-high 24 points and All-Star Diana Taurasi added 16 and six assists to lead the Mercury to a 77-60 victory over the Los Angeles Sparks.

After scoring 19 points against San Antonio on Saturday, Vodichkova continued her torrid shooting, setting a WNBA-record by hitting first 10 attempts. She finished 10-of-11 from the field.

Taurasi, who is recovering from a right knee injury, played 37 minutes for Phoenix, which won for the sixth time in seven games.

Christi Thomas connected on a short jumper to pull Los Angeles within 24-21 with 7:48 left in the first half, but Phoenix used a 13-4 run to open things up. Penny Taylor hit a driving layup with 2:07 left to cap the surge as the Mercury took a 37-25 lead.

Phoenix held a 41-29 lead at the half and cruised over the final 20 minutes. Niele Ivey'slayup with 3:25 left gave the Mercury their largest lead at 75-47.

Chamique Holdsclaw scored 16 points for the Sparks, who fell to 26-8 all-time against the Mercury.

Los Angeles All-Star center Lisa Leslie left the game in the second half with a sprained left knee.
