SAN ANTONIO (Ticker) -- The slumping Seattle Storm hope that a trip to face the San Antonio Silver Stars on Thursday can cure their ills.

Losers of a season-high three straight games, the defending champion Storm will be looking to bounce back against the team with the worst record in the Western Conference.

A bit of controversy arose from Seattle's 71-67 loss at Houston on Tuesday. Reigning league MVP Lauren Jackson had her second consecutive six-point effort and was benched by coach Ann Donovan for most of the second half.

Another Australian, rookie Suzy Batkovic, scored 16 points to lead the team in scoring for the second straight game.

San Antonio lost its second consecutive contest Tuesday, a 63-53 home loss to Minnesota. Katie Feenstra scored 16 points off the bench in the defeat.

The Storm have won four in a row against the Silver Stars, including a 79-51 triumph in Seattle on May 29. Jackson scored 21 points in the victory.
