WASHINGTON (Ticker) -- The Charlotte Sting hope to end their road woes when they travel to the MCI Center on Thursday to face the Washington Mystics in the back end of a home-and-home series.

The Sting own the worst record in the WNBA at 2-10, due in part to their 0-4 road mark. They are the only team in the league that has not won a road contest.

After ending six-game slide against New York on Saturday, Charlotte dropped a 66-61 overtime contest to Washington on Tuesday. Tangela Smith scored 13 points and Sheri Sam collected 10 points and nine rebounds in the loss.

Alana Beard and Chasity Melvin each scored 15 points for the Mystics, who have won four of their last five games.

Washington has won five of the last six meetings against Charlotte, including the season opener, 60-42.
