MINNEAPOLIS, June 28 (Ticker) -- Vanessa Hayden scored 17 points as the
Minnesota Lynx extended their home winning streak with a 63-53
victory over the San Antonio Silver Stars.
Hayden was 7-of-11 from the field and made all three shots from
the line for Minnesota (8-6), which won its fifth straight game
at the Target Center.
San Antonio (3-12) led by as many as 11 points in the first half
but saw its lead dwindle to 30-28 at the break.
Svetlana Abrosimova started a 7-0 run for Minnesota in the
second half with a three-point play that gave a Lynx the lead
for good, 43-41, with 12:03 to play.
Katie Smith scored 14 points and Nicole Ohlde added 12 for
Minnesota, which outscored San Antonio in the paint by a 48-22
margin.
Katie Feenstra scored 16 points off the bench and
Marie Ferdinand added 10 for San Antonio, which dropped to 2-10 all
time in Minnesota.
