MINNEAPOLIS, June 22 (Ticker) -- A return home and a game against the struggling Phoenix Mercury was just what the Minnesota Lynx needed.

Nicole Ohlde scored 14 points and the Lynx never trailed en route to a 75-59 triumph over the Mercury.

Minnesota came into the game having lost the final two contests on a three-game road trip but climbed back over .500 (6-5) by winning its sixth in a row over Phoenix.

Katie Smith and Vanessa Hayden added 12 points each for the Lynx, which scored 40 points in the paint to just 16 for the Mercury (3-8).

Phoenix trailed by as many as 20 points and shot just 26 percent (19-of-72).

Diana Taurasi scored 14 points and Penny Taylor added 12 for the Mercury, who have lost three straight overall and four in a row on the road.
