Temeka Johnson's basket with 1:17 left in overtime gave the Mystics an 81-73 lead.
Johnson scored 21 points, Alana Beard 18 and DeLisha Milton-Jones 17 for the Mystics, who were playing for the first time since a 78-60 loss at Minnesota on June 11.
Tamika Catchings netted 20 points and rookie Tan White 17 for Indiana, which fell to 1-2 in overtime and lost for the first time in six games against an Eastern Conference opponent.
