Sales scored 17 points and the Sun took control in the second half en route to a 73-63 victory over the Detroit Shock.

Sales made just 3-of-15 shots in the first meeting between the teams. However, she was much better in this one, going 6-of-10.
Following a close first half, the Sun used a 14-3 surge in just under a six-minute stretch to open a 48-34 lead with 11:00 remaining on two free throws by Lindsay Whalen, who scored 10 points and grabbed a career-high nine rebounds.
Chandi Jones scored 11 points to pace the Shock, who got as close as six points with just over a minute remaining.
Detroit lost its third straight game.
