HOUSTON, May 29 (Ticker) -- Sheryl Swoopes put the Houston Comets on her shoulders and carried them to a victory.

Swoopes scored a season-high 29 points and Comets overcame an 18-point first-half deficit to post a 86-78 triumph in double overtime over the Indiana Fever.

A two-time WNBA Most Valuable Player, Swoopes made four consecutive baskets and had nine points during a 12-3 run in the second overtime. She leads the league in scoring (25.0).

Michelle Snow made all nine of her shots and scored a season-high 21 points with eight rebounds. Dominique Canty added a season-high 15 for the Comets (3-1), who have won eight of their nine meetings against the Fever.

Tamika Catchings scored the final five points of regulation for Indiana, including a 3-pointer with 11 seconds left in the second half that tied the game at 63-63. She finished with 20 points.

Indiana (3-1) made 11 of its first 13 shots and led, 29-11, with 8:08 remaining in the first half.

Tan White came off the bench to score 12 points and Kelly Schumacher added 10 for the Fever, who committed 22 turnovers in their first loss of the season.
