Milton-Jones came off the bench to score 11 points and lead the Washington Mystics to a 60-42 victory over the Charlotte Sting in the season opener for both teams.

After winning an gold medal at the 2000 Sydney Olympics and helping the Los Angeles Sparks capture a pair of WNBA championships, Milton-Jones made 2-of-6 shots and grabbed eight rebounds in her debut with the Mystics.
Rookie Temeka Johnson scored 10 points and Charlotte Smith-Taylor added nine for Washington, which used a 14-2 run to take a 27-18 halftime lead.
In her first game with Charlotte after helping the Seattle Storm to last year's WNBA title, Sheri Sam made just 5-of-16 shots and scored 16 points.
Tangela Smith scored 10 points for the Sting, who shot just 29 percent (15-of-51) from the floor.
