UNCASVILLE, Conn., July 22 (Ticker) -- Katie Smith reached a personal milestone while helping the Minnesota Lynx reach a franchise milestone.

Smith scored 27 points to help the Lynx cruise to a 68-52 victory over the Connecticut Sun that stretched their winning streak to a club-record six games.

The 30-year-old Smith made 6-of-9 3-pointers and moved past Andrea Stinson for third place on the WNBA all-time scoring list with 3,280 points.

The Lynx never trailed, opening a 23-13 lead with nine minutes left in the first half. They widened a 33-25 halftime advantage to 56-38 on a layup by rookie Nicole Ohlde with 9:18 remaining.

Forwards Taj McWilliams-Franklin and Nykesha Sales, Connecticut's leading scorers, combined for just 10 points on 5-of-18 shooting.

Wendy Palmer scored 10 points for the Sun, who shot just 32 percent (21-of-66) from the field.
