Swoopes scored 18 points, including eight of her team's last 12, as the Houston Comets beat the league-leading Storm, 63-57.

Sheila Lambert added 15 points for the Comets, who made half their shots and limited the Storm to 36 percent (21-of-58) shooting from the field.

Houston's lead was just 59-57 after a layup by Lauren Jackson with 1:49 remaining, but Swoopes countered with a jumper 22 seconds later and Seattle was blanked thereafter.

Jackson, who battled early foul trouble, had 16 points to pace Seattle, which had won its first four home games this season.
