Mystics-Sun: 56k | 300k |
The Mystics rallied in the second half, pulling within 56-52 with 8:47 remaining on a pair of free throws by Chamique Holdsclaw. But Connecticut responded with a 7-0 spurt and never led by fewer than nine points thereafter.
Holdsclaw finished with 20 points and Stacey Dales-Schuman had 17 for Washington, which had a two-game winning streak snapped.
This was the second meeting between the teams this year and tipped off a season-high four-game road trip for the Mystics.
Connecticut also won at Washington, 72-63, on June 4.
