HOUSTON, June 18 (Ticker) -- Lauren Jackson scored 18 points to lead the Seattle Storm to their fifth straight win, 69-63 over the Houston Comets.

Jackson also grabbed six rebounds and hit a seven-foot jumper with 12½ minutes to go in the second half that put Seattle ahead for good, 43-41. It sparked a 9-4 run that Sue Bird capped with a 3-pointer.

Betty Lennox added 13 points and Kamila Vodichkova had 11 for the Storm, who ended a seven-game losing streak in Houston with their first road win over the Comets.

Sheryl Swoopes matched a career high with 33 points for Houston, but Sheila Lambert was the only other player in double figures with 12. The Comets never led, shot under 38 percent (23-of-61) from the field and had a three-game winning streak snapped.
