Entering the contest with consecutive losses, the Comets trailed for much of the game and looked to be on their way to losing three straight games for the first time since the end of last season.

But Holland-Corn scored 10 of her 11 points in a 20-4 run over the final 6½ minutes of the contest as the Comets rallied.

Tina Thompson, who scored 24 points, made a layup with 2:24 left to give the Comets the lead for good, 70-69. Michelle Snow added 11 points and Sheryl Swoopes 10 for Houston.

Lisa Leslie netted 18 points and Mwadi Mabika 14 for Los Angeles, which led by as many as 12 in the second half.
