PHOENIX, June 1 (Ticker) -- Shereka Wright made four of a team-record 11 3-pointers as the Phoenix Mercury coasted to a 73-63 WNBA victory over the Houston Comets.

Wright, Anna DeForge and Penny Taylor each scored 16 points for the Mercury, who were 11-of-20 from the arc. Wright was 4-of-4 from 3-point range.

Rookie Diana Taurasi added 13 points for Phoenix, the first time in four games she was held below 20.

The Mercury (3-1) overcame a slow start in which they missed their first eight shots to post a third straight victory.

After allowing the game's first six points, Phoenix roared back to take a 40-30 lead, then opened its biggest cushion at 64-39 when DeForge hit a technical foul shot against Houston coach Van Chancellor with 12:41 remaining.

Wright scored eight points during a 24-9 spurt that opened the second half.

Tina Thompson scored 19 points and Kedra Holland-Corn added 15 for the Comets (2-2).
