MINNEAPOLIS, May 30 (Ticker) -- Elena Baranova scored 16 points to lift the New York Liberty to a 68-64 victory over the Minnesota Lynx.

Rookie Shameka Christon added 11 points off the bench and Tari Phillips had nine and nine rebounds as the Liberty won their third straight game.

Katie Smith led Minnesota with 20 points and Teresa Edwards added 13 as the Lynx lost its first home game of the season. Minnesota captured its home opener two days earlier with a 73-62 victory over Washington.

Amanda Lassiter hit a jumper with 2:31 remaining in the game to give Minnesota its first lead, 58-57. But Crystal Robinson's jump shot 30 seconds later helped New York reclaim the lead for good.

New York won the first game of a four-game trip that includes stops at Charlotte, Houston and San Antonio.

Smith hit all four of her free throws and has made 23-of-23 attempts this season.
