After six years as the franchise's starting center, Dydek has been moved to the bench this season due to what coach Dee Brown saw as a lack of assertiveness. The 7-2 Dydek struggled in her first two games as a reserve before dominating the Lynx.

Dydek made 6-of-9 shots and anchored the defense for San Antonio, which held Minnesota to 32 percent (18-of-56), including 0-of-15 from 3-point range.

Marie Ferdinand scored six of her 17 points during a 16-6 run that gave the Silver Stars their largest lead at 45-32 with 9:12 remaining. Minnesota got no closer than nine points thereafter.

Rookie Nicole Ohlde scored 14 points but was the only player in double figures for the Lynx, who finished a season-opening 1-2 road trip.
