SACRAMENTO, Calif., May 22 (Ticker) -- Katie Smith scored 20 of her 22 points in the second half and completed a decisive closing run as the Minnesota Lynx rallied for a 69-61 victory over the Sacramento Monarchs.

Smith was shut down in the first half, when Sacramento opened a 38-29 lead. But the former scoring champion found her rhythm in the second half, leading a rally by Minnesota.

The Lynx ended the game with a 15-4 run. A basket by Tamika Williams, who had nine points and 10 rebounds, gave Minnesota the lead for good at 58-57 with 4:53 left.

Smith scored Minnesota's last six points, including a 3-pointer that provided a 67-59 lead with 23 seconds remaining.

Amanda Lassiter scored 15 points for the Lynx. DeMya Walker scored 19 points and Yolanda Griffith added 13 for the Monarchs.

Both teams are 1-1.
