SEATTLE, July 31 (Ticker) -- Lauren Jackson dominated to help Seattle Storm coach Anne Donovan remain perfect against her former team.

Jackson collected 23 points and a club-record 20 rebounds as the Storm took command down the stretch for a 69-54 victory over the Charlotte Sting.

Jackson's three-point play gave Seattle the lead for good at 49-47 with 8:27 remaining. After a free throw by Tammy Sutton-Brown pulled Charlotte within 60-54 with 2:17 left, the Storm scored the game's final nine points.

Donovan, who was fined $1,000 on Thursday for blasting the officials after Saturday's loss at Sacramento, improved to 2-0 against Charlotte this season. The Hall of Famer guided the Sting to the 2001 WNBA Finals.

Tully Bevilaqua scored a career-high 14 points and Sue Bird contributed eight assists for Seattle, which has won four straight home games. The Storm led by as many as 13 points in the first half before the Sting rallied.

Dawn Staley scored 16 points and Andrea Stinson contributed 12 for Charlotte, which shot 36 percent (21-for-58) from the field. Staley scored seven points in a 16-3 run to start the second half that opened a 44-39 advantage with 14:37 to play.
