The Silver Stars won their second straight game under interim coach Shell Dailey, who replaced Candi Harvey, who was fired after a 6-16 start. San Antonio notched consecutive victories for the second time this season and won its first road game since June 24.

San Antonio faced a 27-23 deficit at halftime and trailed 37-28 less than five minutes into the second half. But the Silver Stars responded by scoring 12 straight points to take a 40-37 advantage with just under 12 minutes remaining.

Gwen Jackson, who added 11 points, scored seven during the initial run. Ferdinand, who shot 5-of-14 from the floor and made 10-of-14 from the line, had four points during a 10-2 spurt that gave San Antonio a 52-43 cushion with just over four minutes to play.

Despite shooting just 30 percent (19-of-63), the Silver Stars posted just their second victory in their last 10 games with the Sparks.

DeLisha Milton scored 18 points and Mwadi Mabika added 17 for Los Angeles, which concluded a six-game homestand, 3-3. The Sparks shot 37 percent (23-of-62) and continue to play without All-Stars Lisa Leslie and Tamecka Dixon, who are sidelined with knee injuries.
