Cleveland owned a 22-19 lead with 10:34 left in the first half before Detroit went on a 7-0 spurt, capped by Riley's 10-foot jumper with 9:03 to go.
The Shock led by 11 points before the Rockers closed to 40-35 at halftime.
Detroit pushed its lead to 47-37 just three minutes into the second half. Holland-Corn made 1-for-2 free throws with 8:07 remaining to give the Shock their largest lead at 67-51.
Penny Taylor scored 17 points and Chasity Melvin had 13 and eight rebounds for Cleveland, which shot just 37 percent (26-of-70) from the field.
Betty Lennox, who gives the Rockers a spark off the bench, was held to two points on 1-for-8 shooting.
The Shock, who shot 57 percent (30-of-53), have won three in a row over the Rockers.
